Sewing was undertaken for the purpose of women empowerment so that the underprivileged women may be self-reliant and self- employed. It is noticed in the work arena that women are very helpless. Many widows and divorcees have become a burden to the family and society. On the other hand, if these helpless women are patronized, they can stand on their own feet. Keeping this aim & objective ahead a project entitled ‘A created project for employment of the poor women’ was undertaken. From the beginning till today 972 very poor women have been given sewing training under this project. Among them 80 women were trained with the financial support of Bangladesh NGO Foundation (BNF) and at the end of the training they were given scissors, scale and ribbon one by one. Also ten extremely poor women were given sewing machines. Under this project 110 women were given one goat each
